From what we have seen so far this year I think it's going to be a massive indicator of our future.
If we can keep building on the promise shown so far and bring in new people then it will be massive. If we stagnate and slow down on development again I would get worried. Thankfully there are no signs of this yet and people seem to be rolling out the projects and pushing our brand. That's what we need to build on.
The bear market was a god send for us here. It shook out the weak players at a time when there was a lot of shit being posted. Gave steemit Inc a kick up the arse. Gave some of us a chance to buy in and really brought the remaining people together to push our vision into the future and build a better more sustainable blockchain.
I don't think we would have improved much if people were still getting big payouts for posting crap and cashing out. They had no reason to want change. At least now when some come back and new people join, the remainers are the people who engage and curate. Who build and inspire. Who developed the next apps. If gives us a lot more benifit in the long term than what we had before.
I wonder how many will come back when the price rises. I'd say once it gets $2 most of them will suddenly become interested again. But it be a different landscape that they return to.
