Awesome pic.

Just curious, what kind of camera are you using? I have an older "superzoom" (a Canon PowerShot SX40 HS) and for the most part I've loved it. However, I recently picked up a Sony Alpha A37 used for cheap because I have an older Minolta 300mm lens that fit it. It takes much better pics, especially in low light but I do like the convenience of the all-in-one bridge cameras or "super zooms".

At any rate, I've been toying with the idea of getting a new one but I can't quite decide whether I want to go with one of the really super duper super zooms (my term :)) like the Kodak Pixpro AZ901 or the Nikkon P900 series which have ridiculous zoom levels (~2000mm or 80-90x) or going with (saving up for) something with a larger sensor like the Sony RX10-III or IV but with somewhat lesser zoom levels (~600mm or 20-30x) (but wow those Sony's are expensive cameras!)

Anyway, just curious what you had and how you liked it...

Hi @darth-azrael! So like you mentioned before - superzooms are really convenient to have in your arsenal. I did an extensive research on pretty much every model available in the market and in the end, settled with the Panasonic Fz 300. It's a 4K camera which is also great for video, has things like weatherproofing, long-lasting battery 600 X optical zoom and up to 2600 X digital zoom! It was around $500 two years ago - maybe cheaper now. If I'm going to upgrade it will definitely be a Panasonic Lumix superzoom again (with a bigger sensor). I'm personally totally in love with this camera and been using it lately a lot more than my Sony Alpha a6500 (daily driver before lumix)

Muy linda imagen de la Luna @kaliju y más interesante aún es como lograste pasarla a @appics

Yes, thank you - @appics is fun for this stuff.

That's handheld, by the way. Bit blurry because of it.

well-captured!

I mostly made that comment because one of the first things you learn about blogs is that you're expected to have a niche - which is why I've always failed at keeping a blog - until now. In fact, I've noticed that people with very tight niches on Steemit don't tend to last very long because you eventually run out of things to say. I mostly post about my stories or my photography or health-related subjects, but I don't stop myself if I just want to do a quick post about something totally unrelated - like a contest post. But yes, at the end of the day, it's the people that make me stay.

I made good friends here and I can't say the same for any other platform out there. 👍

This is pretty cool well done, Well-thought-out

Not as well thought out as your comment, though. I'm still learning.

Niche... uhm😊 not really sure whether steemit is my niche or not, 10 years ago I felt so empty after multiply.com shut down and never met any community like multiply after that. And now Steemit play the same kind of community based blogging in different platform. This time I found so many choices of application and various bloggers with special kind of supports. Feel more alive but a bit prepared for the worst situation. You are one of bloggers who creates "juggling posts" but enjoyable. Nice pic anyway 😉

Dear sir the view of moon is very very beautiful.
I think it's best click.
SMT will be game changer for entire Steemit platform as I think and hope.
God bless you dear sir.

Yes buddy many are waiting for it eagerly to launch :)
The excitement is indeed huge

Won't make it this year but hopefully to the next :)

Mind blowing shot buddy by the way

I'm still confused about this appics @kaliju.

Is this about something related to photos?

I feel the same way. No niche, just whatever really. The more posts I create I seem to gravitate towards certain subjects and materials anyways. Why post about something if it isn't interesting to yourself first right?

holy shit look at the zoom!
for me i've only used the shittiest cameras in my entire life 😆 this is amazing..

amazing what a $500 camera can do these days ;)

@kaliju, Really awesome picture captured and i want to say that your device hold the great Zoom effect.

And yes, SMT's announced bit late but in my opinion it's it's better to launch late with usability and not early without any usability.

And yes, those were great words, Steemit is about the people and this platform is driven by the emotions.

So let's hope that some exciting times are ahead and whatever tough and rough time we are facing will going to give effective rewards in future.

Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂

That is some crazy high quality pic!
