Great Melinda, I’m still trying to figure this all out but we’re having fun right?
Figuring out all the new things is what keeps Steem interesting! It's always fun!
It is an app with great potential!
The Piled Stone Phenomenon Contest - Baltic Castles
The entry to another contest hold by @kus-knee
Pretty unusual theme, but here in Klaipeda looks like we have few enthusiast of piling the stones on the beach
This shot was done this summer and there were really quite a few stone formations on the beach. And they got very well combined with stunning colorful sunset
Wide angle lens and closer/lower shooting point brings more interesting composition and perspective
As usual tripod and LEE filters used
Enjoy the scenery!

Lovely and Classic!
great colours and pyramid itself. (are you its creator?..) I easily imagine this image be going straight to the top spot.
!BEER
When you coming to shoot sunset, there is actually no time for piling the stones :D But good thing there are some people who do that.. often at this location
well, you can come in advance, before sunset

What a massive pile!
I am pretty sure my entry comes from the very same location as your cover photo :D There is a whole sea of stone stacks in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. I took this shot 3 years ago.
Great capture. Mine was another location so obviously it’s a popular pastime!
Oh really? I was almost sure it was taken at the same place. Well, it obviously is a popular thing on the island then :) Thanks for hosting this fun contest and merry Christmas to you and your family!
You have been 🙏 curated by @njord

.Hey @kus-knee, here is a little bit of
BEER
from @shasta for you. Enjoy it!Definitely have to take a look on that Appics app! Meanwhile, only recently did I found out about your contests! And I do have some of those piled stone photos; I thought they originally market the right track on hiking trails, but maybe I'm completely mistaken. These ones I've found in a beach in Vila Nova de Milfontes, in Portugal. Would never thought I would find them there... but they were all over the place!
Great shot and beautiful stones!
Thanks! 🙂👍
Amazing i didn't think there were that many stone stackers around well it's a good way of keeping a good sense of balance here are a couple that my nephew and myself put up just playing around by the beach.

Quite the pile!
My second entry, a balance challenge from Argentina. I did not assemble it, I wonder how long it was there when I passed.
Great!
My first entry, at the top of Mount Lafayette, New Hampshire, USA :
Thanks so much for the great entries!
A stone town built on the bank of the Bystrica River near Shipit waterfall.
Very nice!
up! I dont have a lot of great pics of the piled pyramids, but i stashed the pics of a few pyramids we have created ourselves, so I will happily jump on this. Love this stuff.
the ones you captured at Tenerife, are amazing - what I enjoy here its more than a pyramid -- its a great bizarre landscape... land... country of stone pyramids!
here is my entry #1, and a special post which it is a part of!
Thanks for you support!

I'll be back with a link to my entry!
Good luck everyone!
Great!
I Malta there are so many stones it is hard to pick just one example.
Sadly appics doesn't do the photograph justice at all. The colours are really poor compared to what I see on my screen.

Thanks for joining us!
WoW..Looks like there are a lot of people who have time to play with stones good to see it does test your patience out and can be fun well this one i did up this morning sitting on my balcony having a cup of coffee it's just some shells and little rocks i collected from a beach and bought them home with me i liked there design and shape.
Entry No #1
This other one was me playing around at the beach with a few mates to see which one fell down first my stood up well...hehe 🙂
Entry No #2

Thank you @kus-knee 👍
The Piled Stone Phenomenon Contest - Baltic Pyramids
Second entry to another contest hold by @kus-knee
Almost same place as first entry, just another day and another this time even more dramatic sunset at the beach of Baltic Sea, Lithuania. More simple pile this time, just a big stone ashore with a smaller pyramid on top of it. But in combination with couple smaller stones ashore overall comes pretty decent composition on a stormy skies background with a flaming touch of dawning sun
Wide angle lens, tripod, LEE filters...
Enjoy the scenery!
https://steemit.com/hive-177682/@axeman/the-piled-stone-phenomenon-contest-baltic-pyramids
Always so nice to have your entries!
Awesome rock formation! Seems like it's natural. Hehehe
I see these many places that I travel!
Its amazing to know that you make each places you went to a memorable one! Keep sharing awesome photos.
...guess you can find these stone towers in holy places...like on the pilgrim street to Santiago or similar...as I don’t have a picture saved, maybe I will try to make one...anyway, great merry Xmas to you!..enjoy..
That would be cool!
Hope it may get a place in your contest.

Thanks for joining us!
You welcome bro
I tend not to come across these, but would love to. It's so calming to try build them
Yes it seems to be a human need!
While living in Hawaii, the wad a place that I passed between Makakilo and Barber's Point.
I'd pass by one day and rocks would be stacked on a boulder. A daddy or two later they would be gone. Then they'd be back and gone again. This went on for at least two years.
The thing is that this area was on the other side of a fence from Kamehameha Highway with no apparent access.
Interesting experience!
