Music plays a big role in my life.
I never took any lessons in order to learn how to play an instrument. I just didn´t have the desire to play the music by myself even though I would love to do it now.
When I was a little child, my mom used to play music in the house all the time. Her my siblings and I were dancing and jamming together like no one was watching. I remember those cold winters were my mother put down the roof of her cabrio, turned on the heating and we listened and sang to music as loud as possible. Mostly we heard classical music so there wasn´t a lot of singing going on but radio hits were also on our list.
At that time I was still doing gymnastics which I started when I was 3 years old to follow the steps of my bigger sister. It was a lot of fun but as soon as we had the chance to perform with music, it felt like my inner goddess came out. There was just so much energy and passion that I did not feel exhausted and kept moving to the beat.
Since then I didn´t stop performing to music. Wether it was cheerleading or dancing. Music is a huge part of my life. I have learned to be most focused when the right tunes are on and the vibe feels just right. It helps me to be more concentrated no matter what is going through my head at that moment.
I am very open minded and give every music genre a chance and honestly, I do not have a favorite genre at all. I listen to different music styles depends on the situation. If I want to turn up in the gym or get hyped for a great night I´d like to listen to rap/hip hop. If I want to work then I obviously listen to classical sounds. If I am at home reading books and doing easy works I´d like to listen to summer/jazz sounds. There are just so many different situations with different styles of music.
Let me know if you are interested in a music playlist so you can be inspired and get to know what I listen to on a daily basis.
What is your relationship to music?
Thanks for reading
Stay focused

all the joys of childhood.
mostly I listen to only instrument musics with no lyrics involved
Great to hear that! I love to listen to instrumental music as well!

Thanks @sanach
Classical music is relaxing and sometimes great for work as well.
Music just set us free sometime and they tell the whole story itself :)
Definitely! Music is the universal language!
Attractive image

Have a nice Weekend;)
Das sehe ich genauso. Instrumentale Musik ist pure inspiration und lässt den Gedanken freien Lauf.
Wünsche dir auch ein schönes Wochenende :)
Ahh music has played a big part for me over the years. I was lucky to have older brothers and so got introduce to more adult music when I was quite young. I was the only 10 year old I knew who had even heard of Led Zeppelin let along know the words to Stairway to Heaven.
But as you grow so your musics palette grows with you and so through school and college I was forever swapping tapes with friends and soon we would all start going to concerts together. Those were bonding experiences where you felt so grown up and where parties and under age drinking were the stuff of life.
Going to University brought more music my way as the Manchester scene was very big at the time. Plus I started making friends from all over the world and so it was not long before I was sharing music from the US, Canada Australia, Holland, Romania and more.
If I have a regret it is that I don't take time and listen to albums any more. Life is just too busy it seems to take time where I can just lie down and listen to music. This is a shame because I have grown older I have become more and more obsessed with album themes and journeys. Some artists and bands so carefully work in stories into their songs and link them , however subtly to each other. Roy Harper is one of those artists and I love diving into the world he creates.
I wonder how different our tastes are @soldier?
I think it is not so different because I like to listen to almost every genre of music. Maybe you should start listening to albums again. Maybe on the way to work, at the gym or anywhere where you have some time alone...
Thanks for sharing your story!
Oh I am sure we will overlap in some areas, it would be fun picking a playlist
for you.. lemme ponder that.
As to finding time.... Aye in the same way I don't read as much as I used to I need to listen to music more too. Perhaps even doing them both at the same time :)
Omg 😮:)

Looking fierce :)
Thanks Sergio :)
