Here’s why government regulators around the world are constantly attacking Apple and Google for their duopoly. If Microsoft can make a third ecosystem operating system, then Google on Apple can say C we don’t have absolute control a competitor manage to make it to the market so please stop attacking us we are not the old powerful duopoly you’re trying to attack us for being. And so maybe the regulators will back off on trying to tear down Apple on Google. If Microsoft can make Windows a popular mobile operating system system.
Think of it, how Microsoft saved Apple to save their own asses. Apple and Google could do the same here.
All three CEOs of Microsoft agree with the mistake to get out of the mobile phone market. And long story short Microsoft is the most ready and poised to enter the market. So what comes down to is if Microsoft cares to make their own operating system survive
All of these AI’s will take off when you can tell it what you want to do on the computer and it can do it. Like take all my thousands of photographs of flowers and then put them into different folders based on the species of that flower just by looking at the picture. Stuff like that or download this mod to put it on this game so I can play it the way I want and it just does it. When that happens, it’s gonna take off. But the AI has to be integrated with the operating system. So Google and Gemini are good. And Apple and Apple os are good. But Microsoft and Windows being relegated to desktop as I said will keep it firmly last in place since most people don’t do their general purpose computing on a desktop.
Especially with smart glasses, getting more popular too in combination with smart phones. It’s the power of the dreaded default. I want windows to succeeded and be big but on their current trajectory I just don’t see it surviving sad face.
And of course, don’t forget Meta and their headsets and their own AI.
