Today's wine is an Italian wine that I bought last year at the Daejeon International Wine Fair (23 August).

Appassimento, which is also the name of the wine, means 'to wither, to dry'.

The characteristic of this wine is not to make wine immediately by picking grapes with a technique called Amarone, but to soak the wine after drying, and the fragrance and taste are said to be very rich.

Appassimento Limited Edition, 2017

Alcoholic strength: 14,5%.

Apulia Italy

The taste that first touched the tip of the tongue was "Oh, sweet!", but the moment I put it in my mouth, there was a rich, sweet grape aroma and a slightly refreshing tart taste, and after drinking it, a subtle sweetness. lingered. According to experts, the wine made with the amarone technique has the smell and taste of fruit jam.

I think it is a wine that appeals to people who like the heavy body of the wine, but are uncomfortable with the bitterness of the tannins.
