    This is so great! I had a pet squirrel as a kid! He was abandoned as a baby by his mother as well.

    From what I have learned, the mother's will kick the sick or weaker babies from the nest so they can focus on the stronger babies.

    I have found they make great pets! Mine, Grover was so cuddly!
