Some words about aquascaping
Aquascapers are the painters and sculptors in aquaristics. The glass case of the aquarium forms the space in which a work of art is created, much like a canvas in painting. Above all, landscape pictures are drawn on this underwater canvas, such as impressions of a mountain, a forest or a wide grassy plain. Instead of paint Post and brushes, aquascaping uses natural materials such as aquatic plants, stones, burl and ground.
Aquascaping became famous through the Japanese nature photographer Takashi Amano, who christened his kind of aquarium design "Nature Aquarium". Also by the company founded by him Aqua Design Amano, short ADA, Takashi Amano Aquascaping and the matching aquarium products made known worldwide.
Aquascaping is strongly linked to graphic arts and photography. For example, regular competitions are held on the internet where you can submit a photographed aquascape. These include, for example, the IAPLC or the AGA contest.
