Virtual Reality
With Generation Z we might see more move towards having VR branches as just another Channel which could be integrated within their Virtual Worlds same as we have our Branches at physical buildings in our cities in the real world.
Augmented Reality
INBRANCH
AR could allow branch staff to have additional information readily available as clients walk into their branches. I vision something similar to the game I played as a kid call The Sims... Having indicators floating above each client's head with indications such as time-in-branch, account-type, integration to leads management, possible cross-selling opportunities, access to interaction management records, and basically pulling up the single view of the customer on request while approaching the client to chat with them. AI would also play a huge role here, as we would get better about what the client is actually doing in the branch before the client tells you.
OUTBRANCH
AR could simply be a glorification of a video interaction but in a Holographic instance, bringing your branch manager into your office or living room, without actually needing to travel to a branch.
