I was reading some articles online about life changing lessons stories of people around the world, in which I saw someone mentioning a name I have never heard about; Mark Twain; who is an American writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher, and lecturer.
I goggled about him a little bit and I found that he was Tesla’s friend and has three patented inventions but what caught my attention are his quotes that have deep meanings within and I would love to share them with you in this modest blog.
Here are some of the quotes I liked:
1.Clothes make a man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.
2.The lack of money is the root of all evil.
3.Of all the animals, man is the only one that is cruel. He is the only one that inflicts pain for the pleasure of doing it.
4.If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.
5.A successful book is not made of what is in it, but of what is left out of it.
6.The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.
7.Circumstances make man not circumstances.
8.Modesty died when clothes were born.
9.A human being has a natural desire to have more of a good thing than he needs.
10.If we would learn what the human race really is at bottom, we need only observe it in election times.
11.Everyone is a moon and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.
12.A thing long expected takes the form of the unexpected when at last it comes.
13.How empty is theory in the presence of fact.
14.It is a free press… there are laws to protect the freedom of the press’s speech, but non that are worth anything to protect the people from the press.
15.To be good is noble; but to show others how to be good is nobler and no trouble.
16.We find not much in ourselves to admire, we are always privately wanting to be like somebody else.If everybody was satisfied with himself there would be no heroes.
17.The man with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds.
18.When you fish for love, bait with your heart not your brain.
19.To promise not to do a thing is the surest way in the world to make a body want to go and do that very thing.
20.Always do right; this will gratify some people and astonish the rest.
كنت أقرأ بعض المقالات على الإنترنت حول قصص دروس غيرت حياة أشخاص حول العالم ، شد انتباهي اسم لم أسمع به من قبل , مارك توين ؛ هو لكاتب أمريكي ، فكاهي ، رجل أعمال ، ناشر ، ومحاضر.
بحث عنه قليلاً فوجدت أنه كان صديقا لـ Tesla ولديه ثلاث براءات اختراع، لكن ما لفت انتباهي هو اقتباساته التي لها معاني عميقة فأحببت مشاركتها معكم في هذا المقال المتواضع.
فيما يلي بعض الاقتباسات التي أعجبتني:
الملابس تصنع الرجل. الناس العراة لديهم تأثير ضئيل أو معدوم على المجتمع.
نقص المال هو أصل كل الشرور.

أن تكون طيبا فهو نبل؛ ولكن أن تظهر للآخرين كيف يكون الخير أمرًا نبيلًا ولا مشكلة.
لا نجد الكثير في أنفسنا لنعجب به، فنحن دائمًا نريد أن نكون مثل شخص آخر. إذا كان الجميع راضيا عن نفسه فلن يكون هناك أبطال.
الرجل ذو الفكرة الجديدة هو مهووس حتى تنجح الفكرة.
عندما تصطاد من أجل الحب، طعم بقلبك وليس عقلك.
إن الوعد بعدم القيام بأي شيء هو أضمن طريقة في العالم لجعل الجسم يرغب في الذهاب والقيام بهذا الشيء بالذات.
دائما تفعل الحق؛ هذا سوف يرضي بعض الناس ويدهش البقية.
