The Arc de Triomphe or Victory Gate is a monument in the center of Place de l’Étoile, aiming to celebrate the victory of France and honor all who died in battle. This is one of the most popular monuments in Paris and is one of the largest arches in history. In addition, this gate was built to commemorate Napoleon's victory. This gate is located in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle roundabout, at the western end of the Champs-Elysees street, Paris, France. The Arc de Triomphe was built at the behest of Napoleon in its heyday in 1806, after he won against Austria in the Austerliz war.
