Being the second day playing Moonkarts, I have dedicated part of my weekend to trying some things that caught my attention and especially because the handling of my kart felt a little rough, which as you remember, was a choice of a minimum purchase that must be made to be able to start playing, if you want to see the light guide to start in Moonkarts you can see the post here.
My kart is a log with wheels!!
The first races I had with the purchased kart, whose rarity is "rare", the feeling it gave me when driving was not bad except in the curves, where I felt like I was trying to turn a log with wheels, so I thought I had made a mistake in the purchase, so as not to be left with just a mere assumption, I got to work researching a little more about the karts, for this I began to read the whitepaper of the game (if you like to do it you can also see it in this link) the part of karts, there I found a little more information about the different types according to rarity, also there I was able to see the qualities of my kart in addition to the qualities of the “tech” cards, which was something that I was missing.
Each kart has handling, acceleration, speed and health statistics, obviously they will increase according to rarity and also by the level of "merge" that the card in question has, that's when I realized that handling was something I had low on so I decided to look for a card that would help me with that, I went to the market and got some rare tires that cost me 1,229 SCRIPT ($0.68), I immediately started testing them in the race, Also, being the weekend, I expected to find more people playing and I was right.
Tires, tires
I equipped the tire card on my card and started looking for the first game of the day, the wait was short and when I reached the first curve I already noticed the change in my trunk with wheels...now it was a decent kart that could turn practically without problems, it is in closed curves where I still have some problems but that does not take away my happiness for the improvement of my kart.
As I learn more about the “tech” cards I will configure the best combination to give my kart more power, I am sure that a new engine will make a difference in terms of speed, but here is a detail…
IMPORTANT: Karts can only equip a certain number of cards depending on rarity
In the case of my car, it can only carry 4 cards between “power ups” and “tech”, I already have a “tech” card from the initial purchase I made and now the wheels, although I also have the card that I staked, remember that I cannot use that while it is generating fuel due to being staked. I found the information in the game's discord, I recommend that you go take a look if you haven't already, remember that you can search for keywords in discord to make it easier to find the topics you have questions about.
Doing races, I'm no longer ashamed
Happy about my purchase of the tires, I started playing taking advantage of the fact that there were active players, this time I found different karts to compete against, some turned out to be very fast, I imagine they have improvements by "merge" or were of a higher rarity than mine, however I had other more even competitions and I was even able to win one at one point! Yeah!!! I had in my favor that the track we had to play had several curves where my handling, now more fluid due to the newly purchased “tech” card, was key to taking advantage. Although I don't have fuel to take what I get in the races, I hope to be able to move up in the ranking (I already wanted to buy new cards 😆)
Summing up
As in any game where NFTs are used, rarity will be important when playing, in Moonkarts it is no different but the detail is that we can improve our statistics little by little.
Karts have X amount of card equip slots which is determined by rarity. (info in the game's discord)
Buying tires will greatly improve the handling of your kart, but you also have to review its statistics to know what other factors you are increasing, within the game is where you can better review this data.
It is possible to win races with a rare kart equipped with tech cards, it is also possible to climb the ranking by playing without fuel.

Siendo ya el segundo día jugando Moonkarts, he dedicado parte de mi fin de semana a probar algunas cosas que me llamaron la atención y especialmente porque sentía un poco tosco el manejo de mi kart, que como recordarán, fue una elección de una compra mínima que debe hacerse para poder entrar a jugar, si quieres ver la guía ligera para iniciar en Moonkarts puedes ver el post acá.
Mi kart es un tronco con ruedas!!
Las primeras carreras que tuve con el kart comprado, cuya rareza es “raro”, la sensación que me dió al conducir no era mala salvo en las curvas, donde sentía que intentaba hacer virar un tronco con ruedas, por lo que pensé que me había equivocado en la compra, para no quedarme solo con una mera suposición, me puse manos a la obra a investigar un poco más acerca de los karts, para ello me puse a leer el whitepaper del juego (si gustas hacerlo tú también puedes verlo en éste link) la parte de karts, ahí encontré un poco más de información acerca de los diferentes tipos según rareza, además ahí pude ver las cualidades de mi kart además de las cualidades de las cartas “tech” que era algo que me faltaba.
Cada kart tiene estadísticas de manejo, aceleración, velocidad y salud, como es obvio irán aumentando según rareza y también por el nivel de “merge” que tenga la carta en cuestión, ahí es que me dí cuenta que el manejo era algo que tenía bajo por lo que decidí buscar una carta que me ayudara con eso, entré al market y conseguí unas llantas raras que me costaron 1.229 SCRIPT (0.68$), enseguida me puse a probarlas en carrera, además siendo fin de semana esperaba encontrar más personas jugando y acerté.
Llantas, llantitas
Equipé la carta de las llantas en mi carta y me puse a buscar la primer partida del día, la espera fue poca y al llegar a la primera curva ya noté el cambio en mi tronco con ruedas...ahora ya era un kart decente que podía girar prácticamente sin problemas, es en curvas cerradas donde todavía tengo algunos problemas pero eso no quita mi felicidad por la mejora de mi kart.
Conforme vaya aprendiendo más acerca de las cartas “tech” iré configurando la mejor combinación para darle a mi kart más potencia, estoy seguro que un nuevo motor hará la diferencia en cuanto a velocidad, pero aquí hay un detalle…
IMPORTANTE: Los karts pueden equipar solo cierta cantidad de cartas según rareza
En el caso de mi coche, solo puede llevar 4 cartas entre “power ups” y “tech”, ya tengo una carta “tech” de la compra inicial que hice y ahora las ruedas, aunque además tengo la carta que puse en stake, recordemos que esa no puedo usarla mientras esté generando fuel por estar en stake. La información la encontré en el discord del juego, recomiendo que vayan a darse una vuelta si es que aún no lo hicieron, recuerden que pueden buscar palabras clave en discord para facilitar encontrar los temas de los que tengan dudas.
Haciendo carreras, ya no doy vergüenza
Alegre por mi compra de las llantas, me puse a jugar aprovechando que habían jugadores activos, ésta vez encontré diferentes karts contra los qué competir, algunos resultaron ser muy veloces, imagino tendrán mejoras por “merge” o fueran de una rareza superior a la mía, sin embargo tuve otras competencias más parejas y hasta en un momento pude ganar una! Si!!! Tuve a mi favor que la pista que nos tocó jugar tenía varias curvas en donde mi manejo ya más fluido por la carta “tech” recién comprada, fue clave para ir tomando ventaja. Si bien no tengo fuel para llevarme lo que consigo en las carreras, espero lograr ascender en el ranking (ya me dieron ganas de comprar cartitas nuevas 😆)
Resumiendo
Como en todo juego donde se haga uso de NFTs, la rareza será importante al momento de jugar, en Moonkarts no es diferente pero el detalle está en que podemos mejorar poco a poco nuestras estadísticas.
Los karts tienen X cantidad de espacios para equipar cartas que está determinado por la rareza. (info en el discord del juego)
Comprar llantas mejorarán mucho el manejo de tu kart, pero también tienes que revisar sus estadísticas para saber que otros factores estás aumentando, dentro el juego es donde podrás revisar mejor estos datos.
Es posible ganar carreras con un kart raro y equipado con cartas tech, también es posible subir en el ranking jugando sin fuel.
