Web3 games enable players to own and govern various aspects of the game, game economy, and operate the ledger on which the game and tokens exist.

Arcade games are fast-paced, easy-to-learn video games designed for quick, engaging sessions. Known for their vibrant visuals, simple controls, and focus on high scores, they emphasize fun and replayability. Classics like Pac-Man and Tetris remain iconic, inspiring modern casual and mobile games.

Invennium corp is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcade and video games with a functioning economy based on a Governance token “Colony” and a product backed stable coin called “Script.”

Hyper Rail Blaster is requesting 15M Colony tokens per year from the Arcade Colony DAO for 5 years to support rewards in game.

Storyline

On the distant world of Planet LVL-42, the Arcade Colony was built as a shining outpost of intergalactic entertainment. Its neon-lit streets, gravity-defying rail systems, and sprawling game arenas were a haven for thrill-seekers across the cosmos. But beneath the colony’s playful exterior lay a dark secret: The Pricklepack Gang, a band of mischievous, spiky extraterrestrial criminals, had been imprisoned in a high-security facility on the outskirts of the colony.

The Pricklepack Gang weren’t just trouble makers—they were an invasive species with a terrifying ability to replicate. Their bodies absorbed stray energy, allowing them to multiply at an alarming rate. That’s why their containment was critical to the colony’s safety. But one fateful night, during a botched transfer on the rail system, the Pricklepack escaped.

Now, the Gang has overrun LVL-42, bouncing wildly through the colony’s intricate railways and devouring energy sources wherever they find them. Their chaotic antics threaten to shut down the Arcade Colony, leaving its residents stranded and the outpost in ruins. Worse, the Pricklepack Gang's leader, Big Spike, seeks to gain access to the main reactor core, intending to use it to spawn an army large enough to conquer the galaxy.

With no other options, the colony’s AI administrator, PIX-E, awakens Herbie the Hyper Rail Blaster, a retired maintenance droid and former champion of the rails. Armed with quick reflexes, precision, and speed, Herbie is tasked with one mission: wrangle the Pricklepack and save the Arcade Colony before it’s too late.

Game Mechanics

The game begins with waves of enemies called the Pricklepack. Wave 1 spawns a single enemy, with each subsequent wave adding one more enemy while also increasing their size, health, and strength. Every three waves, a powerful boss enemy spawns, significantly larger and stronger than the regular ones.

The player's objective is to shoot and destroy enemies by pressing the spacebar, defending the Arcade Colony from their attack. Players start with 3 health points, losing one health each time an enemy reaches them. The game ends when the player's health reaches zero.

When an enemy is defeated, it splits into two smaller enemies, which must also be destroyed. Once all enemies in a wave are eliminated, a new wave begins. As enemies take damage, the player earns points. Upon their destruction, enemies randomly drop collectibles, which may include health boosts, free-to-play currency ("Quarks"), or a "Time Stop" power-up that freezes all enemies for three seconds.

First three games of the day will be free to play & cost no "Quarks", then each game played after first 3 will cost 1 extra "Quark" (TBD) starting from "1 Quark" to "2 Quarks" (TBD) and so on. Each day energy cost would reset to 0. This is to ensure Play2Earn aspects of game are balanced. "Quarks" can be purchased from arcade colony shop for CREDITS or SCRIPT at price of 1000 "Quarks" per 1 SCRIPT (or 1000 Credits) or randomly found in game once an enemy is killed.
