This is the most amazing complex of ruins I've ever seen. It may not be the biggest nor the most famous ancient city in Mexico but in my opinion, it's the most beautiful one.
Palenque is surrounded by green jungle and that's what makes these ruins so special. I remember entering Palenque early in the morning and there was mist rising above the city what made it extremely atmospheric.
Not too many tourists, jungle, beautiful buildings, all of it made it a totaly unforgettable place!
