Little pieces of our past ... still providing opportunity for community
The Historic Village at Tauranga is a collection of buildings from New Zealand early settler past that are still in use today.
Some are under renovation at the moment ( as at May 2018 ) but I decided to shoot aesthetically and avoid the various evidence of construction that is currently about and covers some buildings.
Amongst the 50 or so businesses and community hubs at the Historic Village is a gem of a shop (excuse the pun) run by the local rock and fossil fanciers and the reason for our visit today.
