[ICO REVIEW] Archon Cloud: File systems of the future transport and storage of decentralized data

in #archon6 years ago
  1. What is Archon Cloud?

Archon Cloud is a decentralized cloud storage protocol. The project addresses the issues of speed, reliability, and fragmentation of data by using the scalable, low-cost and low-cost capabilities of a centralized system with the BTF fault tolerance system ( Byzantine Fault Tolerance and the security of the decentralized system.

  1. Technology
Reed-Solomon large scale error correction code

Reed-Solomon code is very slow, it only produces 100-200 shards. With that in mind, Archon has developed a proprietary Reed-Solomon code library that allows for the shredding of large database areas into shards that produce more shards than the Reed code. - common Solomon. Archon can split up to 16,000,000 pieces, which will increase the reliability and network security better.

Blockchain structure

Transaction speed affects the upload time of data files. To speed up the transaction speed, Archon invented a new blockchain protocol that has fast transaction authentication rates such as DPOS (over 5000 transactions per transaction). sec) while still eliminating the centralized nature of DPOS.

Proof of Storage (Proof of Storage)

To ensure that archived files are archived, Archon has implemented Proof of Storage. Archon will use a simple probability puzzle that the digger can only solve if they store the file. If the digger stores only part of the file, they can only solve part of the puzzle. When the digger is unable to complete the evidence, they will lose their share.
According to learning and research, both Archon and Filecoin, Stacoin, and Storj projects store decentralized data. However, in terms of storage capacity, Stacoin can store more than 4K TB, not 1K TB, as Archon puts it. However, Filecoin, Stacoin, Storj have not released the ability to accelerate the download of data that Archon has that.
All three projects store decentralized data and data security, but Archon has focused on speeding up data transport in a faster way. All 3 projects have pretty high hardcap. 2 projects Storj and Filecoin team are large and have experience in technology and as we have seen 2 projects on the floor are quite good growth. However, Archon's team has fewer members, more experience, but Archon has just started and the number of members may increase, possibly more. So, the question of whether Archon is really a good project, its project can grow as the other two projects also have to track down a lot!

  1. Token
Hard cap: 40,000,0000 USD, has mobilized 4.6 million but not yet publicly invested.
The total number of tokens assigned to Archon is as follows:

25%: For the Archon team (including engineers and founders)
21%: For research
19%: For marketing and moving
14%: Running the testnet
6%: General expenses
2%: office space
1%: Insurance
12%: Used to reserve.

  1. Roadmap

April 2016: release testnet archives

May, 2019: Open sale token priate sale

June 2019: Open ICO

January 2020: Release of storage and network testnet

June 2020: Mainet release.

=> Archon's roadmap is quite long, until May 5, 1919, nine months, Archon opened the sale of Token. This will cause investors to ask questions from now until April 2019, what will they do? In the milestones of the roadmap, the team does not mention the specific work they will do but the general work items.

  1. Team

CEO + CTO_ Kevin Truong: Graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University. Been practicing for 4 months with Software Engineer positions at Google, the world's leading company. He has 6 years of experience in machine learning at Diffbot, a company that provides products in the field of artificial intelligence, well known companies, and many people visit the site.

COO + Chief Financial Officer_ Eric Wang: Master of Science in Chemistry at Stanford University. For nearly a year, he has been a partner of the Cipher Epoch Capital Fund (a blockchain investment fund covering both China's 100-2000 ETH infrastructure and application layers).

CMO + Law_Samuel Suh: Graduated with a BA in Business Administration and Marketing from Northeastern University. He is also a law professor at Pace University. He has nearly one year of experience as Marketing Manager at Bodhi (a decentralized blockchain marketing market). More than 3 years of experience with product development at Kind Design (a company specializing in web design, video games).

=> The current project team has only three members, two of whom are not yet official, and they say they will grow to 13 members in a few months. In general, members of Archon are good at college, CEOs have good background and experience in engineering positions at Diffbot, which is well known in the field of artificial intelligence. However, COO and CMO are still young, do not have much experience, outstanding achievements in the position they undertake.

    CONCLUSION
    Advantages
The technological concept of transporting and storing decentralized data is highly practical because the data currently stored locates on a server and the transport speed of the data is very slow.
    Disadvantages

Team members are few, only 3 people that these members have not had much experience in the field of blockchain
Hard cap is too high.
Spend too many tokens for marketing
The community is too small, discussions are not exciting
The roadmap is too long
