St Patricks Day is almost upon us, and I have been tasked by my step-daughter to catch us a leprechaun. We attempted it last year, however these seem to be magical creatures.
We are looking for a way to nullify the creatures magic, preferably something based in history or lore. Use of religion is acceptable.
She will be reading the answers with me, so a good, clean answer would be lovely.

The way I catch Leprechauns is by leaving a Pint of Guinness Beer on the kitchen table along with some delicious snacks. I leave a note for them to help themselves to as much beer and food as they want since I have plenty in the fridge. Eventually they get tired and take a nap on the couch. While they are sleeping it's very easy to capture them. I then either get 3 wishes or agree to let them go if they give me their treasure. I then usually buy $HIVE and $DHEDGE with my treasures.

The first step is that you need to goto the emerald isle where they are living. Then you need to visit as many pubs as you can drinking a pint of guiness in each one. At least that is what I tell my wife.
