The former governor of California, #Arnold Schwarzenegger after the completion of his political campaign, revealed in an interview with The Playlist the details for his next movies. Specifically, he stated that he will be back for ''#Terminator 6'' with #James Cameron by his side but not as T-800.
He also announced that they might make a new trilogy. After that, a ''Conan'' sequel is on its way, he said. It is almost certain that after Cameron's obligations with the ''Avatar'' movies, they will begin the shooting for the next ''Terminator.'' Arnold stated that they will start shooting in March. After all, it is not that hard since the ''Avatar'' movie is set to be released in 2020.
It was about time for Terminator to be back!
Schwarzenegger's role in 'Terminator 6'
Speaking with some fans, Cameron was once asked if he ever thought to have Schwarzenegger play a human character in any of his ''Terminator'' sequels to show where the models got all these characteristics. That’s a thought that has been on James Cameron‘s mind these past two years, and in a new interview with The Playlist, he explained why Terminator looks like a muscle-bound man:
''Yeah, you got to ask yourself, ‘Why did they make these characters look and sound like Arnold? There has to be a reason. So yeah, it has flashed through my mind that there has to have been a prototype. There has to have been a guy whose DNA was harvested from – that they grew the organic outer layer that they grew the Terminator from…and that presumably was a real person at some point.
Now, the question is, did that person have some sort of meaning to Skynet on why they chose that one (Arnold)? Or was it like a whole rack of Terminators and the one that happened to be the Arnold model just happened to be closest to the door going out to the time displacement center and all the others looked different? I’ve asked myself these questions but it’s never been resolved…so stay tuned! We’re talking pretty seriously now about doing some new Terminator films or possibly a trilogy and you’ll just have to see what surfaces in those."
For all of you who don't know, James Cameron tried something similar in the past in ''Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines'' which attempted to explain the same concept in a really bad way. Here is a deleted scene, but let's check it out:
'Conan's' screenplay
Now for all of you that wonder what the story could be for ''Conan's'' comeback, picture this: rumors say that now Conan the Barbarian is old and finally a king. He is sitting at his own throne when his son is brutally murdered by his enemies who seek to conquer his kingdom. Now it's in his hands to get his revenge and save his kingdom and his people. Arnold's old age and acting can bring many things to this character and especially the Oscar that Hollywood owes him!
