Thunder is good, thunder is impressive; but it is lightning that does all the work.
Mark Twain said and I don't know if this is really true.
Since my childhood I got always scared about the thunder more than the lightnings.
God only exhibits his thunder and lightning at intervals, and so they always command attention.
I found Mark Twain sayings very interesting regarding this inseparable couple of wild nature.

Infact its more dangerous than the thunder.
The one can scare you.
The other one can kill you.

I think Mark Twain was right. Thunder is loud, but lightning is VERY dangerous when it strikes. I knew a person who was hit by it and severely burned. His nervous system never completely recovered.
That's very sad. But I heard about many other people having new skills like painting or playing piano after being struck by a lightning. But more after having strokes.
Yes there have been some very interesting cases like that. Really makes you wonder how our minds work...

I've always loved thunder storms, even as a child. I still get this excited feeling in my stomach when the sky goes grey and the sea turns leaden and I can feel the rumble. It makes me grab a hot cup of coffee or tea and snuggle up to a window to watch it unfold.
