The simplicity of still life paintings.
This is one of my projects and series of paintings. I might say that I am mad about Vanitas, but for now, I just enjoy a lot some othes artists vanitas works.
Maybe you are used to see my posts about my acuarelles. This is what I did mostly on Steemit. Today I share with you one of my acrylic paintings. I love small objects and of course to combine them. :)
Regarding my technique, it is somehow close to Mische Technique I learned in the past, but in the end I use some amazing transparent acrylic colors from Old Holland.
What is the meaning of being an artist?

I think Degas has defined it in a very simple way.

Technically brilliant, adorable combo of items, and there's something kind of surreal about the colour palette. That, and the cracked desert floor somehow (to me) makes the small items look enormous, which is really neat. Well done! :)

I love that Degas quote as well.
The delicacy of the crocheted piece holding the fruit is genius. The combination of objects on a windowsill that dwarf the lovely country side is a wonderful composition, giving the objects an almost super sized feel. Really wonderful.
Thank you Donna! The crocheted piece is older then me, more then 60 years. I have two actually, as present from my mom. And I'm glad that what my painting transmited to you justifies my artistic effort. :)
