Hello,

This comment is in response to the line:

If you believe this comment is in error

As anyone who has seen this comment on chain wouldn't be able to track it back in hindsight if the appeal was done on Discord, but I'll still be in contact with you Discord.

We would appreciate it if you could avoid copying and pasting previously published content (recycling content from previous posts).

There seems to be a misunderstanding in the term used "copy and pasting previously published content (recycling content from previous posts)."

As both posts were published at the same timestamp as scheduled. This means neither account published a content that was copied from the other at the time of publishing, so it's not recycled content.

Here are the timestamps for artofadamada post and adamada post as both were timestamped by the blockchain published at "2024-06-14T04:00:00" the same time.

Regarding the linked url for the images, I used artofadamada account to upload the photos and set the content to drafts and will be published at set time.

Concerns related to "Spam/Farm"

artofadamada account doesn't post regularly and solely for art stuff. It also serves as placeholder for content published under the handle in case someone else name squats the Hive name. It has something to do with building a consistent keyword on the search engines associated to my name and work see https://linktr.ee/artofadamada

So how does this exactly affect my social presence online? If I use the keyword "adamada" on google, below is what I'll find on the searches, but this can vary per region you are searching from:

As you can see, my old steemit account ranked higher because it's the same handle as the adamada account on Hive and a copy paste content of my old posts. What does "artofadamada" shitposting do to the searches?

This is when I use artofadamada as a keyword. Long term, if if I build on the name, it ties users back to checking my Hive blogs and reroute traffic from other socmed, but this is a pipedream at the moment and it's still something I'm working on for myself and Hive.

What my artofadamada posts are set to

I specifically set conditions depending on which posts to published like my WIP to accept rewards when they just feature works in progress or scribbles but for posts where I intend to post the same content, the rewards on the artofadamada account are set to burn. This means people can upvote my artofadamada posts and I still don't get any monetary benefit for it + it helps reduce Hive inflation by sending whatever author rewards it generates to null.

Setting my posts to Burn holds the same purpose as a Burn Post, which on the linked case is copy and paste post but benefits the blockchain driving the supply of Hive down.

If the concern is me double dipping on content rewards, being labelled as a spammer isn't a hill worth dying over for pocket change. The fact that I know what I'm doing when it comes creating an interconnected web of backlinks across social media to promote Hive is the objective than mindlessly posting. It's a drop in the bucket but still free marketing for the blockchain.

Using the adamada handle means getting blocked in the rankings by the steemit account. Using the "artofadamada" account, means I can get a better buildup on the name, if SEO is still a thing past 2024.

Sort:

I learned more about SEO from this one comment than I have from 30 years of being online. It also answers the question of why a very old post I wrote about an obsure old railway station on Steem comes first on search engines when you type the station's name.

Thank you. I hope certain other 'parties' thank you for the lesson, also.

I'll keep on chasing the ghost of my account on steemit if I only use adamada to post art stuff when my name across other social media is operating under artofadamada. If I don't post something on artofadamada account which serves as a landing site if people don't fine the word adamada intuitively on Hive, it's odd having it empty. I'm already setting the post rewards to burn so it doesn't even get me closer to riches.

I used to be an SEO writer so my managers would remark how to be particular about keywords and links but I'm outdated on that practice but old habits carry out and I can see some of those habits still works on current search engine algorithms.

It even comes as a surprise why this isn't ok since I'm doing conscious active effort to just grow my name out there while involving Hive, in contrast to other creators here that stagnated with Hive and probably wouldn't admit they get paid in Hive over their profiles.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

It does not matter that one post was published a few seconds after the other or exactly at the same second on a different account.
The second post, whichever one it was contains copied content from the other. Both posts have this content as the highlight of the post. The rewards were not declined on the second post.
I thought that what recycling of content means was understandable to you since you have reported the same activity dozens of times throughout the years.

Following this excuse, someone else could also create multiple accounts and then post the same content on all of them at the same time to fish for multiple rewards.

We would appreciate it if you could avoid copying and pasting previously published content (recycling content from previous posts).

As I understood the argument, previously published content was the context. Both posts did not contain recycled content within Hive.

It does not matter that one post was published a few seconds after the other on a different account.

Both posts had the same timestamp, neither were ahead or before, these were at the same time published, as previously mentioned on the link to their respective timestamps.

The rewards were not declined on the second post.

Does it matter whether the post has been set to burn vs declined? both scenarios doesn't give the author rewards. Regarding the burn posts seen in this account and the content within the post and comments are repeated. How does this get a pass?

I see now that the post had rewards set to burn.
I did not notice it before. Thanks for explaining.
I will edit the comment.
