Airship - a piece I worked on to convey the beauty of skies.
First comes layering out a 2 point perspective and marking out where the ship would roughly be by using rectangular blocks.
Further iteration of the ship.
Next came positioning the clouds to work with the perspective and adding the sun and sea.
Followed by the colouring of the clouds - clouds closer to the sun are reflected yellow whilst the ones further out are subject to a hue shift into orange.
Decided not to fill in all the clouds to make a darker atmosphere towards the front.
Filling in the ship with base colours.
Adding in some shading onto the ship.
Adding in a grainy texture to ship so that it does not look boring. Some more lighting improvements to it as well.
And finally adding in the person and shadow to give a sense of astonishment if you were in that position.
