This is a piece i've done several years before . Bucrane is used as ornement since antiquity. This represents a sacrificial animal. The skull represent the death and ornaments offerings

Resteemed, great piece. Detail and symmetry is outstanding. Amazing work.
Thanks erre ;-)
I love this artwork! There so many allusions in there (for me): first the classical bucranium as the title suggest, but through the material and the ornamentation a link to the opulent art of 17./18. century royal France. But it also has a touch of Eleusian Mysteries with its great sacrifice of an bull, just as well it reminds me of the entrials of on clockwork (puppet) or the round ornament could represent the solar disk as it for example could be found in the egyptian art .... I could go on! Really great I love it
Thanks @neumannsalva , this is a good reading of this piece ;-) With my basic material (ornamentation) i could'nt do without creating a bucrane
Write good
