Vraiment une excellente réalisation ! Je le trouvais sympa également en version brute, on y voyait, à mon goût personnel bien sûr, davantage votre patte d'artiste: une version plus personnelle.
Je suis peut être trop critique là, vu la qualité du travail produit!

C'est effectivement un point sur lequel je me questionne encore , j'avais écarté le choix du "brut" car les finitions passent très mal en photo et la pièce n'était pas présentable en l'état, de plus les différents détails que j'avais mis du temps à essayer de restituer étaient noyés dans l'ensemble. Il fallait différents coloris pour souligner au mieux les démarcations. J'ai donc choisi de conserver les couleurs d'origine.
L'autre option aurait été de choisir des couleurs du genre dorure, patine vert de gris et rouille mais cela m'aurait obligé à complexifier encore plus la réalisation en faisant beaucoup plus de pièces démontables.
Sur le plan du sens je trouve que seule l'ornementation est en décalage et elle est le point central que je voulais mettre en avant et cela permet de rester en dehors du côté "Steampunk" que je ne recherche pas particulièrement tout en restant dans l'univers retro-futuriste.
Quel chic et quel élégance ce R2D2 dans le musée Masséna. Au début j'étais choquée par la couleur et puis réflexion faite cela colle mieux avec le côté robot d'une autre époque. On pourrait penser que le style impérial à évolué de cette manière. Magnifique!

...I prefered a lot more the rusty colors from step 1 ...but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
It's The question and I ask myself again. I explain it above in French in a commentary.
But I could not leave it rough, we must not forget that the picture often embellishes the appearance of the patinas and the geometry of the different parts would not have been readable correctly. The only option would have been to make different colors of patina but it would have been too restrictive technically. Finally I chose only the shift of the ornamentation, initial meaning of my work.
