The Nightlife we don't know of - Week 1
Once I've discovered the depth of my socialite nature, I've came to embrace it slowly and indulge in the night activities of the city. After graduating high school, I took it one step further and started working in places where this strong need to surround myself with friendly faces would be satisfied: bars.
late night delight
The opportunity to meet on a daily basis hundreds of people, each and everyone of them with a different story and point of view, left a big mark on me which I will carry for the rest of my life. It pushed me way out of my comfort zone, having to deal with all sorts of people, people and most of all, people. Some of them were pieces of shit, others offered me pieces of their life stories which I can recall crystal-clear ever since I've heard them just as if it all happened yesterday.
gloom in; gloom out
But my point is that in order to actually get to know those people which came, left a mark and then passed through my life, I had to spend time with them and try to walk in their shoes. Some of them had more time, some had less, some were hard to crack, others would come with their hearts upon their sleeves, some came just to have a good time, some came because they had nowhere else to go. Yet, in order to truly understand them, I needed to do my best and see our surroundings from their point of view; try to imagine how the events from their life and the people who passed through their life and left a mark, how all those little things built up and made them who they were then when I met them.
Just like how everything that happened to me and all the people that I've met make me who I am today.
