Greetings!!
Just a short post before I head off for a little nap, LOL. I have been trying to get some glazing done to get enough ready for a kiln load. I have some salt pots with spoons I glazed up in different colors. I remember I had mentioned in a post a while ago that most of the time the glaze does not look like the color it will be once it is fired and I have the perfect example of that.
Below is a picture of 2 salt pots side by side. One will be green, the other one is an orange. Can you tell the difference?
Right!! Neither can I, LOL. This is when I really have to have a lot of trust in my glaze charts. Keeping fingers crossed and saying a prayer will help too, LOL. I'll post a pic when they are done to show you what they look like then.
Have an awesome day and thank you for stopping by my blog!! If you like this little post please up-vote and re-steem as it will help me out. I also love to hear any comments or questions you have.
Hi @alicemarie, here is my little upvote as I don't like to see posts from fellow homesteaders without any earnings.
And I look forward to seeing how the two salt pots turn out.
Thanks so much @pennsif!! I appreciate it!! I will post a pic after I fire the kiln. It might be a while because I still have a lot more glazing to get done and I am keeping an eye out for a bit of a breaking the heat and humidity here. Have a great day!!
Another great post. I definitely couldn't tell the difference! They look so similar!
Thanks Charlie!! Yeah, the green definitely does not look green at all, LOL
