FREEHAND BATS TATTOO

in #art6 years ago

Good morning Steemit!
Today Im gonna post about a piece I did yesterday,
I coloured a Dracula tattoo but I wanna focus on the bats I did for it as I did them freehand

First,I made a rough sketch with a pink Sharpie, sorry forgot to make a pic of that!
Then I went over with a finer gel highlighting the shapes a bit more..

Then I outlined it with a fine tattoo needle, leaving room for a mistake if need it

It's important to make all the corners quite sharp otherwise with the time the tips will get round and it won't be a nice effect..
Once Im happy with the linework I can fill it up

And then the only thing left is adding the back ground,I chose some purple, yellow sky because it's a Vampire piece

The customer had a tattoo piece of a gothic girl on his arm that eventually wants to reworks I made the clouds on my

piece in a way that follow the shape of his old ones from his existing tattoo,I forgot to take a picture of that but I will post

it in few days when I do a post about the whole vampire tattoo.

Thanks for looking a have a great rest of the week everyone!

Beautiful step by step guide. I have never created any tatoo before but am beginning to get interest in it. I had love to learn the tools and materials required to making it.
