A quick wash to start with estabilishing the tonal values of the painting. I used burnt umber and burnt sienna, and solvent to thin the paint with. This stage is very similar to paint with watercolor and I quite like the way how the paint flows and dribbles.

I think its from the digital image. Not sure why is it like this tho...
