Creating Art Through Chronic Pain

in #art8 years ago (edited)

Art has become a quiet haven for me to hide from acute pain following me step by step. I have now had severe migraines since I was 10 years old. Neither I nor the doctors know the reason yet. It has become a part of my life and I have had to adapt it to my lifestyle. There are many ways to cope with it. Alcohol is one, my friends are another, and art is the third. I do not feel it as much when I create, and much less so when drinking. I am almost 18 years old and don’t know when the pain will finally go away once and for all, if ever.

I was given the idea by a friend to write and share things on Steemit. This is how he explained Steemit and art. I didn’t know what to think or expect, but my first two posts brought me over $30, and I am very thankful for that! Thank you, Steemit!

Do you like it, Steemit?

Thank you

You're very beautiful! Nice eyes :) Upvoted

For a five year period I had severe migraines 2/3 per month and then they never came back. The doctor said sometimes they just go away without reason and never return. He also said that stress and/or depression can bring them on.

Must say that being a former painter myself I understand your calling art "a quite haven" though I have never suffered from constant migranes. Every person should have at least some kind of shelter from pain - both physical and psychological. Hope your sufferings will end soon and you'll be able to create without being exposed to acute pain.

I just stopped by to see your photo and you know what, You are really beautiful and I'll say that GOD overloaded the cuteness in you especially the eyes.

I do like your art, mind sharing more of the wall? those paintings are amazing

Very nice. I hope you get well soon.

I had migranes occasionally when I was younger, but not often. It went away by itself even before I hit puberty. Constant migranes must be fucking horrible. I'm sorry. Get well

Wow, that's some beautiful stuff! Don't stop! Given that you're so young still, you can only progress. And you're very cute =)
