Tempera painting is also known as egg-tempera. It is a permanent and fast drying process. It is known as egg-tempera because egg is used as a binding medium between the sheet and the colours, it was a primary method.
But here in my tempera painting I've used a thin paste of zinc oxide and gum as a binder; added many layers of this paste both horizontally and vertically, and then rubbed the back of sheet with paper weight to get a smooth surface for my painting.
It is a very long but interesting process.
