I have shared some of my cousin's paintings and sketches before.
It always amazes me the painstaking hours it takes to create a sketch or painting (I am not a person that gives a lot of attention to detail, so according to my standards something is already beautiful and then he will just continue making it better and better.)
I am sure the artists out there can relate (I think it is both a blessing and a curse)
Here are some photos of a sketch he did on an elephant - he spend 9 days working on the folds and detail on the trunk and head alone.
This was a few days in, which I thought ok that must be almost done, then it just got better...
To make a masterpiece takes a lot of effort and time and patience
These few pictures do not do justice to the talent and effort that goes into a work of art -I am in awe of talented people.
This is amazing stuff. I know as an artist myself that the problem can often be to know when to stop. Far to often have I been working on a piece and thought: "I should've stopped ages ago. Shit."
O but I am sure in the end it was all worth it
I've killed a lot of good pictures by not knowing when to stop. It hurts.
Too good.👍 you should bring your cousin to steemit ☺️
Good idea - will tell him - Thank you
☺️👍
They are awesone.
Thank you
Thanks for sharing. You definitely sacrifice a lot of time as an artist just to make something that people look at. But it is worth it, every second, every minute, everyday. Tell your cousin to keep doing what they're doing because the world can never have enough creativity.
Thank you - I agree 100%
Very impressive! I wish I had more drawing skills haha. I tend to draw more abstract work, but I want to learn realism.
Abstract is also nice - I cannot draw anything - I just appreciate from the sideline
