MT FUJI: MY TOUGHEST EXPERIENCE YET AND I WILL DO IT AGAIN IF I HAVE TO

Have you ever been in a situation where you tell yourself 'I can't do this anymore' but the fun part is that there's no going back? I experienced that when I climbed Mt Fuji during the night, in rain, in a temperature below freezing point. On top of that I was dumb enough to carry my tripod and a bunch of other extra stuff that made up the 11 kg bag I had to carry all the way up to the 3776m spot and then down. It was a continuous 12 hr hike, with a bunch of short pauses to rest. Not alot of people who started climbing up with us, reached the top before sunrise thanks to the rain and cold that alot of them didn't expect and weren't prepared for. Even if you had a rain coat, your gloves and socks got wet in the freezing cold and you prayed for the rain to stop. But there's a bright side to all of that. We were all together. We all looked at each other and understood each others' struggles. We helped each other up the rocks and laughed at our dumb lucks. It was encouraging and so we kept moving. Reaching the top was worth every hard step we took along the way. Even though alot of us were broken by the time we reached the top of Mt Fuji, that memory of our struggles will forever remain with us and help us through any future struggles that life throws at us! A tale of patience and courage that won in the end.
