RE: My latest stop-motion animation project - complete:)

in #art7 years ago

Thank you so much! :) It felt really good to read your words, I admit it took a lot of effort, patience and time to complete this animation. It was a freelance project, the voice is by the author of the poem - Denise Ryan and it was her project/idea. I received a rough storyboard, had to do drawings for the different scenes and then animate them. I used a scanner for the animation (it's much faster if you have a good camera and a tripod, but I don't;). Made cut-outs and then moved them, scan, move again, scan and so forth. For some bits I put a transparent plastic sheet on top of the drawings and painted with watercolors, pastels and ink on the plastic sheet. Paint, wait for it to dry, scan, erase, paint, wait, scan and so forth. It took me about 4 months to complete, but I was doing all sorts of things in the meantime (going to the beach with my kid and then going to work). Thank you so much for your kind words and for your appreciation! It means a lot to me!
