The last couple of days I have been preparing for this years Christmas fairs that start this weekend. That includes going trough my stockpile to see if I have what I need for the season. And to my surprise I found an old box with a lot of stuff that I had forgotten about.
One of the things were this small coin purse sewn from upcycled leather and decorated with a freehand machine embroidered bulldog.
Trough my creative processes throughout the years I have tried many different ways of paining with out using actual paint. This technique is one of them.
It was a short face because it was quite time consuming and the time spent compared to what people was willing to pay did not make it worth my while.
That is why I only make them on rare occasions now as present for family and friends.
The dog in the picture above is actually a portrait of my brothers (now late) Doberman. He was a gorgeous dog that also was the model of another present I made that you can see below.
The actual dog in person you can see here.
And here he is with his beautiful sister Thea, a Great Dane.
A nice find in that old box and Ilke very much the last photo too!
