Time Loop

In my previous posts, I mentioned about going deeper and developing concepts for my paintings. Lately, I've been thinking about time and how it's a finite resource. Then I started thinking about how we might be stuck in an infinite time loop. They are very different things though. I have these scattered thoughts about time at the moment, which I don't think I can explain. I mean, I don't even know what I'm talking about :P

Fishes in the painting are symbolic of all life forms and they are swimming in this pool of time. Going round and round. Maybe I need to develop this concept a bit more :P

This painting took two attempts. Here are the pictures from the first one. The clock and mandala got buried in the deep blues. And then I had to take this painting the other way :P

Medium: Watercolors and Photocolors

Here's the second attempt: This one is heavily inspired by the artist, 'Kelogsloops'. I'm trying to learn from the artists I admire :)

I'm looking to buy some artbooks, so if anyone has any recommendation do share with me. That will be very helpful.

Today's lesson from ' The Art of Creative Thinking' by Rod Judkins

Chapter - maintain momentum
Page no. - 94

"... A great idea is electrifying and exhilarating. It has energy. But no matter how strong the ideas, if you sit on it it gets cold. You must maintain the sense of excitement you had when first inspired. Whatever the project - building a house extension, renovating a boat or planning to open a store - it's important to maintain the momentum. Work on an idea constantly until it's resolved. The minute we lose momentum, we lose the thread. our inner critic awakens. We start doubting what we're doing and energy levels drop. When it comes to creative execution, the key is to get moving- and keep moving."

For some reason, it made a lot of sense to me today.
