Hello my sweet fellows of the last rain ^_^ !
These last months of almost endless rainy days inspired me to revive a photo of last spring, making you enjoy an illustration that I made at that time and that only a few people might have seen because it was my first weeks on Steemit and I had only a few followers ;-)
After the rain comes always the sun, and I love to look at the snails in the frontyard
sometimes I take one and take him a little further away so that he does not get crushed...
then I think maybe it was not really his road and I might have make him do a very loooong way and he just curses me but then I think he better curses me alive than dead ;-)
Et bien it's time to introduce to you Mario, our lovely wild snail
Why wild ? Well, firstly because he is not domesticated, he is a free soul and body that goes (very slowly) on his path, provided that no giant hand take him on another path, or a giant foot destroys House and Life Expectancy
why I took my pencil, the Neocolor II, the Inktense pencils, stencil, brush, water et
Avanti mon ami ! here is the unfolding in pictures ;-)
be careful where you put your feet after a downpour,
because you could crush a Mario or such
and you do not really want that to happen, do you?

We also have snaily weather, but snails still sleep under the ground, waiting to be much warmer than these days (Croatia).
You made me smile telling how you take them a little further away, not to be crashed, and then wondering is that the way he&she-in-one want to be on, does he-she curses you... :) I'm doing exactly the same thing.
This is so sweet story, and that illustration you made after, sharing the beauty you have find. In snails! :)
Wonderful.
Thank you for this kind comment @andrijana ;-) Yes I love snails and it's really calming to watch them taking their time doing their business ...LoL
I'm sure Mario has been loving the rainy days! We do not have snails here. So I really like seeing yours...and your delightful art!!
Do you mean you have never snails or you mean just now..? Here are none at the moment, I suppose it is still too cold, that's why I used my photos of last spring...
I have seen water snails, tiny little black shelled things that live in the pond, but I have never seen a land snail here. I have seen slugs....similar creatures, but with no shell.
Ooh..I didn't think snails were not everywhere....maybe we have a lot in France and that would explain why french people (not me!!) are eating them...
I guess there are some little ones with round shells that live here, but I have never seen one in all my years of gardening! If I was starving, and had plenty of garlic and butter I could probably eat one...if someone else prepared it!
beautiful art, this awesome.
Wow, I love your illustration - not only because I actually love snails, but the colors are simply amazing and so joyful!
Thank you for your appreciation @storytllng.rocks ^_^
oooh the birds are soo cute <3
Hehe, you love them all, don't you..? ^_^
Yesh :D
Such a cutie! She knows exactly to where she want to go: that leave! Who wouldn't let her have one bite?
Indeed, Nature knows it all ;-)
Delightful on the watch out snail Barbara. I have the same feelings when I take a snail or caterpiller away from where they might cause some damage, or that somone else might send them on to their next life: Will they survive in their new and unknown environment now. 🦋
Exactly ;-) maybe we are interfering with a greater fate, who knows ? ^_^
Exactly. That was the one message I took away from reading Carlos Castaneda's Teachings of Don Juan ~ We never know the fate of another creature. And yet I feel we also need to exercise our ability to act with awareness for all life. Having a brush turkey in our backyard, destroying the garden, in the process of making his nest, has sure brought that issue up for me. 😊
Your paintings always make me smile! 😊🌺
Alright then, Legion, do you like frogs?
