JoyfulCat painting [ENG-FR]

Here is my last painting, JoyfulCat, which I present you some views as well as the stages of its creation 😊

Voici mon dernier tableau, JoyfulCat, dont je vous présente quelques vues ainsi que les étapes de sa réalisation 😊

After drawing my character on a simple sheet, I spend a layer of white gesso to have a non-porous support for my painting ...
I always do this, whatever the medium used 😉

Then as usual, I use my Neocolor II wax pastels from Caran d'Ache which are water soluble, so I spread the pigment with a slightly wet brush to keep all the brightness of colors

After that, I built the shadows and volumes with Faber-Castell's Pitt feltpens and the contours of my drawing with a waterproof ultra-thin pen

Après avoir dessiné mon personnage sur une simple feuille, je passe une couche de gesso blanc afin d'avoir un support non poreux pour ma peinture...
je procède toujours ainsi, quelque soit le support utilisé 😉

Ensuite, comme à l'ordinaire, j'utilise mes craies Neocolor II de Caran d'Ache qui sont hydrosolubles, donc j'en étale ensuite le pigment avec un pinceau très légèrement humide pour garder toute la luminosité des couleurs

Après ça, je construis les ombres et les volumes avec les feutres Pitt de Faber-Castell et les contours de mon dessin avec un crayon ultra fin waterproof

On a round MDF support, I spend a layer of black gesso this time,

and I draw patterns with a white Uni-ball pen.

I then glue my character which I carefully cut out the outlines

and I also glue other shapes cut out of one of my painted papers 😉

Sur un support MDF rond, je passe une couche de gesso, noir cette fois,

et je dessine des motifs avec un stylo blanc Uni-ball.

Je colle ensuite mon personnage dont j'ai soigneusement découpé les contours

et je colle également d'autres formes découpées dans un de mes papiers peints 😉
