BEASTLY TALES
IT COSTS THE EARTH!
The Earth, and it’s non-human inhabitants
(From Pachyderms, right down to Ants.)
Gave a sad, sorry, collective sigh,
Why had they been so cruelly attacked, why, why, why?
Why had humans, so greedily avaricious,
Attacked the Earth so, it’s more than just suspicious,
Burning it’s forests, bleeding it dry,
Surely the end of this must be quite nigh.
Raping and pillaging, in a figurative sense.
Making good things of Creation, move to past tense.
Carving out the Earth’s innards, it’s mineral wealth,
Moving the material globally, by greed and by stealth.
Conducting underground nuclear explosions
Diverting major waterways, causing erosions.
Of course, the driving force behind such greed, if you do dare,
A relatively small group of humans, a FORCE MAJEUR,
Driven, as always, as I’m sure you know, indeed,
That human passion for unrelenting GREED!
Now, the victims of this stupid rearrangement of earth,
Are most animals species, in dire peril from birth.
Dead as the Dodo! Gone for all time!
So many species, oh, what a crime!
And the Greed Barons think that they haven’t finished yet.
Climate Change Deniers, whilst richer they get!
But, without any shadow of doubt,
They are in line for an almighty clout!
Yes, the Grand Creator of what they do ruin,
Will step in to rectify, yes, really SOON!
