alternatively you can also use steemimg.com and make an account there. If you then copy the html embed code you can paste it directly without needing any brackets or parenthesis. also putting <center'>image url here</center'> (without the 's) will allow you to center the picture in your post. (This also works for your own posts and not just comments to make article more visually pleasing).

Glad to help anyone out when I can with anything. I don't try to keep any secrets to only have my posts look good. I had the same issue. I would like to be able to put pictures side by side, but would prefer the posting to limit too much customization. I would hate to see what happened to MySpace with all the crazy glittery posts transferred here.
