The level of detail and the atmosphere of this piece is pretty amazing. Apparently there are two versions of the same painting - one in London and other in Paris (Louvre) the atmosphere of the paintings are different though

Love his use of light and dark in this painting. DaVinci was a true genius. Artist and engineer? How does one use both sides of his brain magnificently when so many of us struggle to use just one adequately? lol
Btw, Walter Isaacson has a new DaVinci bio coming out that is on my reading list. I've read several of his other bios and they are fantastic, so if you like to read... Cheers!
