Week 7 Artists
@azbeen
@azbeen, aka Aris Falegos, joined Steemit on 19 July 2017 and has been bringing a very unique style that is full with childlike joy and beautiful colours to our platform since :) Based in Greece, Aris is a professional game illustrator with the company Tamasenco, creating artworks for their mobile titles. Through their own words, they describe their style as:
My work is mostly character-centric and I love creating images that tell stories and appeal to children and the young at heart.
I love @azbeen's distinctive brand, which exudes gorgeous positivity, happiness, and adventures! :D If you are in the moods for some uplifting and charming artworks, a trip to @azbeen's blog will do you a lot of good :D
Here are a few examples from @azbeen's artworks:
Sneaky Fairy - This is only the first cute drawing of a series of wonderful characters that @azbeen created to send into adventures in our world :D You should try to follow this series since each post contains really magical narration of each character's personality and journeys :D :D :D
The series: Sneaky Fairy and then Sand Dragon and then Jeremy and then Forest furballs and Flying forest wizzles and Traveling birds and Fairy and the elongated dune cat and meditating rocks and bull-horned bringle and the tree of whispers and the bloomyn and the all seeing turtle and finally, Tom.
And at the completion of this project, @azbeen published a post with all of these really adorable characters together:
I was lucky that I had gotten to know @azbeen at the time and was following the magical journey :) I thought I should compile the experience for others who may have missed these wondrous and lovely creativity.
Teen Witch and Cat - Click this post to watch how @azbeen draws! Really cool video of their arting process inside !!! :D
The Imaginary Voyages of Edgar Allan Poe - And finally, one of my favourites from @azbeen's gallery is this beautiful illustration that they created for a comic book with Edgar Allan Poe as a character :D Absolutely gorgeous colours, masterful lighting, and if you click the link, you can see the entire process of the creation of this piece from the sketch to the finished!
I do encourage you to visit @azbeen's blog to discover their talents at your own time, since I believe it is one of the most darling galleries on Steemit :D
@barbara-orenya
Barbara joined Steemit on 16 May 2017 and is another wonderful artists with a very unique style that brims with ample character, bubbling personalities, and whimsical colours ! She hails from Annecy, France, and she describes her artworks as:
I'm also an artist who commonly create a joyous life and colourful creatures, they are called The Wonkies, the Gougouttes, and so on!
On top of her illustrations and artworks, Barbara often posts about her love of beer, as well as beautiful photography of her home town, and her blog feels like a fairy tale hamlet, populated with gorgeous photos and fun-loving characters that roam and explore the world to have all sorts of happy and strange adventures :D
Here are a few examples of @barbara-orenya's offerings:
She and her bunny - This is a classic @barbara-orenya style, so to speak! Her beautiful character and paintings are done in such beautiful and childlike colours and they always exude a kind of feeling that makes them feel as if they belong in an illustrated fairy tale story books :D
Some warm memories - Barbara, from time to time, would share with us beautiful photographs from her home town in France, Annecy. She has a very special and distinctive edits that make her photography work seem like they are taken in a different world than ours.... A fantasy world of ethereal beauties and light~ * ___ *
Wooden puzzle box for a sweet girl - This is a puzzle made out of Barbara's painting on wooden pieces and she made it for Solea, her 4 years old goddaughter :) I melted when I saw this post because Barbara has been gifting Solea a painting for each birthday and so the little girl is growing a collection of Barbara's paintings, one for every year. Such a heart warming post! I can imagine when Solea grows up, she would be able to look back (one day), and see the collection of paintings, and she'd remember how very loved she is :)...
The post also shows the process of making this beautiful creation, and hands down, it is one of my favourite post ever from Barbara's blog (even though, really, I love most of her posts XD;;;;)
So that's the seventh pair for these periodical highlights from C-squared featured artists :D
