The madness blooms
and we breathe in the heady perfume.

The fleshmelt project left off last time with spiders growing out of the redflesh landscape and a tortured soul in the middle (left image below). I really liked the shapes that were coming out in the main spider abdomen and I decided to copy that shape and make fleshflowers out of it (right image below).
I changed the colors a bit on the three different fleshflowers and painted on top/pushed the background around to bring out some toothy faces.
I used the above as a new base image for an AI style transfer run using the original fleshy red mother as style image:
Then I painted on top of the above result to bring the faces more into focus:
I used the above as a new base image for an AI style transfer run using the original fleshy red mother as style image (2nd generation of fleshy red mother transfer over the 2nd generation base image), painted on top of that to form another new base image, and did one more AI style transfer run using the original fleshy red mother as style image (3rd generation of fleshy red mother transfer over the 3rd generation base image). Below is the end result of that process:
The post cover image is the above result with a green spotlight layer added in PhotoShop and colors manipulated.
Stay weird Hive
Next time on the Fleshmelt Project I turn the faces and flowers into alien tissue before pushing the composition in a new direction.
This is BEAUTIFUL! Like, it is scary and all. But, I can't help but get drawn by the details of it.
Great work, Carl! Not that you need me to say it lol!
Thanks dude :)
