Your writing is fun to read man. I struggle with this a lot just like many others so I'm glad you broke it down. In the comics industry its pretty tragic when in comes to pay, but there are always ways to supplement your income through shops for prints and con commissions and such. Not to mention Steemit. :)

Indeed, I think there s only few other types of art harder than comic when it comes to payment and realizing (say, animation). You have to sacrifice a lot and what you get back is so little.

But I agree, Steemit is a great opportunity for artists to get a second chance. And I am willing to help all of these that can leave their ego behind. =)
