It's forecasted that it will be 108 degrees F here in New Mexico today. In this unseasonably hot weather, how about cooling down with a painting of "Snow Showers!"

by Lee Gordon Seebach
This was painted on location just north of Taos, New Mexico, just a short distance from the Taos Pueblo. With the Sangre de Cristo mountains in shadow in the background, and sunlight illuminating the foreground, snow was cascading from the heavens. I was on hand to witness this stunningly beautiful scene. Happily, I always drove around in a truck with a camper shell which was fully equipped for such an opportunity, so I set up and painted this magical view.
"So many beautiful subjects, so little time!"

It's cool I like, you should do a series on the same theme. I will follow you because you are gifted that I love painting
Thank you so much @izbing
Looking nice bro...
Thanks @nitan
Great painting, did you make a photo of the scene you described as well?
@steemboys Thank you! I didn't take a photograph...I just painted the scene from life.
beautiful green color
Much appreciated @black-eye
How can you even leave home with that temperatures, a painting is not enough too cool down :-)
I agree...it's tough to even go outside in that kind of heat. I'm in my air conditioned studio to hide from it! Thankfully, it's not very humid here, which helps.
Great to see some of the process @chessmonster Do you only use oil paints? Pretty sure every painting I've seen of your has been in oil.
@mikepedro In the photo above, I'm working in watercolor. "Snow Showers" is of course an oil painting but it was done years ago when I did a LOT of painting on location in oil. I do mostly studio work now in watercolor. Thanks for commenting!
Oh yes.. that's perfect painting to just chill with a cup of tea in the morning to clear my head after work.. nice
