The Structure of a Continuum – 23

in #art6 years ago

The “mean” in social intelligence assumes that new knowledge threatens acknowledged freedoms. It's the way a society forms a base.
The twenty-first century starts out with such a low bar set on the “base” for this automated response, any design for distributed consensus will be considered a fixed game to those above this mean, making it hard for anyone to really understand blockchain.
Blockchain's origin in Bitcoin, often cited for validating its use, taints it with a relationship to certain financial products that higher social intelligence generally considers entertainment that plays to a base set up so this automated response to outside influence protects the system.
This has embedded a belief that there is a basic freedom to compete for a finite piece of the same pie that those successful in promoting the pie's value have. It is that very social drive that is now making blockchain not understandable to the most critical impulses of social innovation. It could even be seen as tipping society toward acceptance of ignorance through ICOs that simply relate to Bitcoin's relationship to USD.
This is where the concept of Non-Fungible value comes into understanding blockchain technology as an archive where a record has a relationship to value, not a cryptographic code for currency value, and this is formed into a fine art.
Following the way the documentary part of this art is formed here on Steemit puts you in the middle of a discussion about what is now the comparative relationship between a unique set of physical collectibles and that explaining the systemic art of virtual identities of physical collectibles, illustrated here, that together explain the function of blockchain technology in a way that can be imagined by anyone.

To be “non-fungible” something has to be felt as art. It's actual scarcity is in the feeling that if it is lost there is nothing that is going to replace it. Something that is virtually codified as an actual object that expresses a function, based on consensus, here uses the structure of the knot as the essence of what is non-fungible, immutable, ever unchanging block in a blockchain. This image of a knot is measuring systemic reality as a component of sequential growth pattern, and that is as close to the feel of an autonomous entity that can conceive of. The knot shown here is composed of two five crossing knots combined together with two four crossing knots and three three crossing knots taking up eight modules of a nine module square. It gives meaning to the value of modules 266, 267, 268, 269, 270, 271, 272 and 273 in the Cryptoknot protocol for the duel purpose of digitally identifying this pattern and having something that this scarce identity can use to tokenize its value. If it is gone so are those numbers and the meaning of their value.

(I like to play with digital platforms and apologize if this is pushing the limits of what is welcome. This animated gif is of pen work I did in the 1970s and made into this digital portfolio about ten years ago. I wanted to see if I could use its Steemit link to make a gif work on Facebook.) The knots that initiate this illustration of the blockchain are introduced in the previous posts here, and have a White Paper as the website http://www.greatknot.com. On the more commonly accessible Facebook page are the Woodstock '94 and other collectible items used to give concepts of non-fungible identity a form.
