The Story Of The Unfertile Ground
Once there was a desert plain far away from the mountain tops.
It was so hot in there and barren that nothing grew despite it is in the mountain tops.
The king saw that land and told his kingdom if they will make it fertile again he will reward half of it to them that can make that desert plain a good land again.
An old witch went to the king and told him that if thousands of lives will be sacrificed his will will be done.
So the king ordered his soldiers to sacrifice the lives of the people in the village near it and it was done, they were all killed.
A few years later, nothing happened so the king ordered the execution of the witch.
One day a young pheasant went to the king and told him if all of the people in his kingdom will do good and return to God's dominion he will bless the desolate land.
So the king ordered his kingdom to do only good deeds to one another and pray unceasingly so that the desert land on the mountaintop will be fertile again.
Fearing the king, all the people just obeyed him and lo and behold after a few years the land on the mountaintop is flouring again with fruiting trees and even Palm trees. It is now fertile again.
Being happy on what he saw the king had given half of it to the young pheasant and he made it even fertile tenfold and it fed the kingdom with many fruits it made.
