Dear Steemians,
CJ has recently been interested in Aquabeads. It's an exercise where you assemble "beads" together on a tray, then spray it with water, wait for it to dry, and voila, a LEGO-like toy is created!
He went through some of the "regular" sets and then went on to the Mario set. There is a dog, a crown, a grape, a bee, a whale, a giraffe, and others in the first few pictures, and then it continues onto Mario-themed characters, like Mario, Luigi, the Princess, etc.
I then asked him to create some designs that weren't a part of any package and he created the following:
Maybe he got inspiration from Monsters, Inc. Anyways, it's a pretty creative exercise for the kids. Not only do they get to work on their motor skills (connecting the right-colored beads with each other can be quite the exercise), they really get to let their imagination run wild for hours on end!
The first one shows a two-eyed and one-eyed monster. The second one, I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I liked it enough to place it on my desk at work.
Have a great one!
Chris
Preety nice!
Thanks. Yeah, you should give it a try with your kids. The only downside to Aquabeads is that you have to constantly buy refill packs of beads.
