Hello Steemits! happy to see you all again ^ ^
I would like to share with you my draw work of Joan Trumpauer Mulholland :D
Who is Joan Trumpauer Mulholland you asking yourself ?
She is a Freedom Rider, civil rights activist. :)
At 1961 When she was only 19 years old she got arrested for refusing the comply with the illegally segregated buses of that time.
After her first arrested, she was tested for mental illness!! because Virginia law enforcement couldn’t think about of any reason why a white girl would want to fight for the civil rights...
And here is the draw :
^ ^Hope you'll like it as much as me ^ ^
{Pencils : 0.35 Mechanice Pencil}
{Paper material : Paper A5 15X21 cm , 180 gsm}
And this is the steps of the drawing :

Hope you have enjoyed my drawing 😊
Have an awesome day 😊 Thank you 💖💖

Thank you so much💖
she has a faint smile akin to Mona Lisa's - "i know things you don't"
Amazing art as always! I really love it. I'm always deeply unsettled by stories of people being tested for mental illness and even taken into custody of asylums because of ignorance. It seemingly happened way too often in the past, and still happens today.
Fighting to better society can seem insane from the conformist's perspective! Though in this case it was just prejudice and close-mindedness.
