People's Artist of the RSFSR, winner of the State Prize of the USSR and the State Prize of the RSFSR named after the Vasiliev brothers, popular actor of Russia Andrey Myagkov has died at the age of 82.

A. Myagkov was born in Leningrad on July 8, 1938. In the 60s, he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School and served in the Sovremennik Theater. Since 1987, he served in the Moscow Art Theater named after A. P. Chekhov. He has won many awards and prizes.

Myagkov made his film debut in the 1965 comedy film The Adventures of a Dentist with Alice Freundlich. He became widely known as a result of a long collaboration with director E. Ryazanov, starring in his films " Irony of Fate...", "Office Romance", "Garage"and" Cruel Romance". Andrey Myagkov was considered a universal actor, he was equally good in comedic roles, as well as in dramatic ones, such as Alyosha in the Brothers Karamazov, Alexey Vasilyevich in The Days of the Turbins, Shvyrkov in the drama M. Khutsiev "Afterword". In total, during his career, A. Myagkov played in 73 film roles.
