Last night I was doodling and started to draw a lady, and she developed into a mermaid with octopus hair. I finished this morning with my daughter (who decided to paint as well.)
I find that keeping a journal for art and writing and making lists helps me control my own inner chaos as someone with depression and anxiety, but also as a mom and wife. It helps me clear my head and focus while being creative. Plus, I can do it alone or while my children play around me. Being artsy and having a creative outlet helps me be a better mom and person overall.
